The Spirit of Control: The Perfect Storm of Oppression [Infographic]
You can’t un-see it. There’s no going back once you’ve taken the red pill.
Current times got you thinking? Have you spent some time down the rabbit hole? The Spirit of Control: The Perfect Storm of Oppression is designed to communicate the affliction of the times we’re living in. But this evil didn’t begin in 2020. Take a close look at the content of this infographic and you’ll understand how it’s been brewing for decades.
“…a controlling spirit opposes free will because it can’t dictate the outcome…”
Control and oppression go hand-in-hand. Have you ever experienced a controlling parent or significant other? That show of force is just fear masquerading as power. Whether it’s fear of failure or fear of insignificance, a controlling spirit opposes free will because it can’t dictate the outcome of a situation when someone else has the power to affect it. Satan also hates freedom and I bet he’s just loving what is happening in our world today. In fact, I believe he has authored these plagues and is perpetrating them through the help of humans. Some people are contributing openly to his wicked plans, and many just don’t realize it.
Once I began to notice several different aspects of culture changing rapidly, it wasn’t long before I had a lengthy but scattered list in my head. As I considered what to do with this growing mind space, I quickly determined that the best way to relate this subject matter was an infographic—probably because I’m a graphic designer.
A beautiful part of the creative process is the moment when you start doing a brain dump of all the disparate things rolling around your mind, and then the concept starts evolving almost on its own. I started with ten or twelve ideas on the white board, and then the list exploded. Soon I needed to start organizing these aspects into categories. The result was 41 societal shifts, classified under five overarching spheres of civilization. Additionally there were six general trends I noticed as delivery methods for this spirit of control.
The concept of a “perfect storm” sparked the visuals for this piece. Assigning the six trends to weather-related phenomena was especially fun. Isolation was best represented by floods that leave people stranded or trapped, while lightning was the perfect analogy for those events that are intended to capture your attention while something else is going on.
I could write an article about every one of these subtopics. Stay tuned.
I’m sure there are plenty more aspects that I haven’t covered here. What else do you think belongs in this perfect storm of control and oppression? Comment below.
